Olivia DeWan has been a writer for as long as she can remember. What started as a love for reading quickly grew into a passion for storytelling. While creative writing was her first love, she discovered a new calling—journalism—after taking a high school newspaper course on a whim. Since then, she has pursued reporting with relentless enthusiasm, securing internships and freelance opportunities while continuing to craft novels on the side.
Olivia is also deeply passionate about music and enjoys blending her love for writing with her love for sound. She has a particular affinity for feel-good stories, especially those that highlight communities and people making a difference in unique ways. More than anything, she believes journalism is essential to society and a powerful tool for understanding the world. She strives to write engaging, accessible pieces that inform readers and introduce them to something new.
